Abstract

Isochoric, isobaric and saturation heat capacities of polarizable, dipolar hard-sphere fluids with variable polarizability were calculated along with — and in the vicinity of — the vapour-liquid coexistence curve. As prerequisites of the calculation, orthobaric densities, vapour pressures and heats of vaporization were also calculated. The studied heat capacities show realistic behaviour in the vicinity of the phase-transition, and seem to be suitable for the description of real fluids.
