Simultaneous velocity and size measurement of nano-particles in photon correlation experiments

Abstract

A method based on the auto-correlation function of the scattered intensity was proposed for the measurement of particle velocity and size. The fast fourier transform (FFT) of the auto-correlation function of the scattered intensity contained the information on the particle size. It was shown that the collected scattered light from single particles in the range of 50-500 nm contains thousands of protons.
