Simultaneous evaluation of SAXS and SANS patterns from solutions of ionic micelles

Abstract

Small-angle X-ray scattering (SAXS) and small-angle neutron scattering (SANS) patterns from ionic micellar solutions have been simultaneously evaluated. Best-fit values of the aggregation number, the semiminor axis of the micellar core, the axial ratio and of the hard-sphere interaction radius of the micelles obtained from SANS and SAXS are compared. The results of the distinct SANS evaluation and that of the simultaneous one with SAXS are in good agreement.
