The pharmacokinetic parameters of repeated-dose treatment with Cordaflex 20-mg nifedipine retard filmtablets were simulated from values calculated on the basis of single-dose study. The results of the simulation were compared with the steady-state parameters determined in a repeated-dose pharmacokinetic study performed in healthy volunteers. The results indicate that the simulation provides good estimates and, accordingly, offers a mathematical method for the planning and evaluation of various pharmacokinetic studies.
