Abstract

The paper discusses the modelling and simulation problems for the dynamic analysis of road vehicles due to road profile excitation. The simulation model of the body subsystem is derived in multivariable linear transfer matrix form, which is realised in a special state-space form defined by the model characteristics. The axle subsystems are described by second order Volterra and Zadeh models. Simulation experiments are performed by the use of discrete time state-space models. Simulation results illustrating the effects of axle nonlinearities are discussed.
