Abstract

The analysis of symmetric(plane) bracing earthquake resistance structures was presented.The members of the shear walls rigid frames and braced frames were same at each level and the level of stiffness was same at individual levels. Formulas based on the replacement continua was presented which enable the designer to determine the period of vibration, base shear force and bending moment easily.
