Scaling of the dielectric relaxation in spin-density wave systems

Abstract

We present the results of a detailed investigation of the complex dielectric constant in the spin-density-wave phase of (TMTSF)2PF6. The experiments were performed in the temperature range where the specific heat anomaly indicates a glass transition. Our results show that above 2 K the static dielectric constant is temperature independent and the distribution of the relaxation times exhibits a smooth scaling behavior with no sign of a phase transition.
