Scaling laws of creep rupture of fiber bundles

Abstract

The creep rupture of fiber composites was studied in the framework of fiber bundle models focusing on general characteristics of creep rupture. Only the case of global load sharing (GLS) for the redistribution of load following fiber failure was considered. Efficient simulation techniques were also developed for testing the analytic results, furthermore, to study finite-size system. The resultant data were analyzed in detail.
