Abstract

The line width variation and saturation of ESR signal of undoped polyacetylene have been investigated. The microwave power necessary for saturation depends on the cis-trans ratio and oxygen content. These indicate the influence of absorbed oxygen on the relaxation behavior. The eventually observed asymmetric line shape is probably due to the distortion of absorption line shape toward dispersional one.
