Abstract

Implementation of Enterprise Resource Planning Systems usually requires long preparation, brainstorming, design, including detailed re-engineering business processes at large companies. After new business functions have been implemented at enterprise level, it takes some time when the end-users are getting familiar with the concepts, the technology and the daily usage of them. Built-in functions, therefore, make the system reliable, robust and well-known environment. Nevertheless, according to customer and business requirements, it is sometimes necessary to change the scope of business functionalities, the user interfaces. Innovation can have a great impact on business operation at company level. SAP Screen Personas demonstrates how an innovative technology makes easier and comfortable to operate business functions in a simplified user interface. It is also discussed that the role of such new toolset should be considered during a post-implementation ERP process.
