S-wave partial cross sections for the reaction p+p'p+p+0

We have studied the reaction p+p'p+p+0, near threshold, at five energies between 320 and 500 MeV, by detecting the decay rays of the 0 in coincidence in two large NaI crystals. The 0 energy and angular distributions were measured from which we determine that the s-wave contribution to the total cross section is TsS(b)=(15.2±3.0)02. This is somewhat lower than results of previous experiments.
