This chapter gives an overlook on the preparation routes of rubber/layered silicate nanocomposites and informs about their structure-property relationships and applications. The crosslinking behavior, static and dynamic mechanical properties, barrier, fire resistance and friction/wear performances have been surveyed and discussed as a function of structure formation and structural characteristics.
