Abstract

On the basis of the latest scientific literature and results on acidic polysaccharide-metal complexes the authors summarize the fundamental role of trace elements (copper, zinc, manganese, cobalt) in hemoglobin synthesis and iron metabolism. An original iron preparation (Ferrocomp) to cure anaemia is introduced, which contains all the necessary hematinics (trace elements in the form of basic metal-polygalacturonates and vitamins) beside iron. The product containing iron identical to natural sources can be applied in low dose and has no adverse side effects.
