Abstract

Cascaded nonlinear multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) systems make it possible to study the influence of a nonideal generator on the measurements of the nonparametric frequency-response function. The first system in the cascade represents the (non)linear interaction between the generator and the load. The study shows that the measurements of the best linear approximation are robust under weakly nonlinear disturbances introduced by the nonlinear load.
