RMC modelling methods for polymers and polymer electrolytes: Progress, problems and prospects

Abstract

This paper briefly describes the reverse Monte Carlo (RMC) method of structural modelling and its applications to studies of fast ion conducting glasses and (nonconducting) polymers. It then reviews the need for similar studies of polymer electrolytes, the prospects for such studies and the problems that are being encountered.
