Abstract

A group of researchers respond to comments from a number of authors on one of their research papers. They state that they appreciate criticism from other authors, as such comments help them to improve their method, along with its analytical capability. They also state that they agree with most of the comments of the authors, as they help in improving their research efforts. They reveal that the title of their paper has created misunderstanding and that they did not intend to present the LIBS application of their calibration approach as an applicable protocol to analyze gold alloy. They describe an application to a sub-class of gold-alloys where the relative concentration of the alloying elements is constant. They inform that they describe the specific application in their paper, as the fixed relative concentration of the alloying elements in modern gold alloys is a common situation.
