Abstract

THE RESIDENCE TIME DISTRIBUTION FUNCTION IS DERIVED FOR NON-NEWTONIAN LAMINAR FLOW THROUGH A TUBE, IN THE CASE WHEN THEMOLECULAR DIFFUSION COULD SAFELY BE NEGLECTED. THE EFFECT OF THE NON-NEWTONIAN BEHAVIOR ON THE CUMULATIVE RESIDENCE TIME DISTRIBUTION AND ON THE INTENSITY FUNCTIONS IS ALSO DEMONSTRATED.
