Requirements driven initiatives for generic product system model

Abstract

Development of modeling systems for product engineering or experimental purpose was enforced by need for engineering of cooperating systems operated multidisciplinary products during the recent years. As result the requirements, functional, logical, and physical (RFLP) structured model replaces the pure physical level representations in industrial engineering modeling systems at leading industries. The Laboratory of Intelligent Engineering Systems at the Óbuda University was founded to launch research in this area of engineering in 2005. Research in this paper was concentrated on content driven generation of RFLP structure elements and components to replace the currently applied very complex dialogues at RFLP structured engineering model entity definition. This paper focuses on driving of requirement (R) level element generation and its contextual consequences in RFLP structure. After discussion of the driving problem descriptions and representations are proposed for generation of model development initiatives using requirements against industrial products and developing strategies in intellectual property. Traceable method is provided for lifecycle model changes. Results are applied at driving requirements (R) functional (F), and logical (L) level element generation in RFLP structure. Finally, integration of the resulted content based driving structures in host industrial engineering modeling system using object definition and model configuration related application development is discussed.
