Representations for Driving Objects in Model of Smart Engineering System

Abstract

This paper introduces recent research results in contextual driving structure (CDS) that establishes connections between outside effects and virtual and physical highly automated smart engineering system (SES) as well as between model representations in model of SES and physically operating SES. Research in this paper inherently considers SES as systems operated smart cyber physical system (CPS). CDS is a solution which is proposed to extend model system of SES to provide unified engineering content background for lifecycle. Main function of CDS is to contribute to consistent system of contexts throughout the full processing chain from the outside contexts of virtual and physical SESs to the real time sensed information in physical units. After recognizing problems on levels of driving and in component interactions of SES smart systems related engineering activities and modeled harmony between scientific and industrial backgrounds are explained. Main contribution in this paper is consistent system of contexts as content represented on levels and sublevels of CDS. Organized driving content in CDS serves driving of objects in virtual and physical SES through object parameter connections. Finally, environment for experimental implementation of CDS representations in advanced engineering modeling platform is outlined in connection with virtual laboratory for the relevant organized engineering research. The reported work is strongly based on formerly published organized object parameter driving content structures.
