Relativistic and radiative corrections to the Mollow spectrum

Abstract

The leading nonrelativistic and relativistic corrections to the Mollow spectrum were analyzed. Theoretical foundations of high-precision spectroscopy using the resonance fluorescence light of strongly laser-driven atoms were discussed. The shifts of the Mollow sidebands may be interpreted as arising from corrections to either the detuning or the Rabi frequency. The dominant relativistic corrections are of the order of (Zα)2, where Z is the nuclear charge number.
