Abstract

The development of energy-efficient strategies for road vehicles has been in the focus of research and development centers in the vehicle industry. One of these methods, which is called the look-ahead control, focuses on the speed control of vehicles. The purpose of the look-ahead control is to design the speed of a vehicle in order to reduce driving energy and fuel consumption while keeping traveling time.
