One stage skin flap reconstruction for anterior stricture of the urethra was performed in 28 patients. Island flap reconstruction was managed in 23 cases and in 5 patients duplicated local flap was done. Results were collected with 4,8 years mean follow up. Eighty-one percent of the patients became free of dysuria, suprapubic drain and catheterisation. Although nowadays authors prefer buccal mucosa graft for urethral replacement, skin flap reconstruction remains a successful method in selected cases.
