Raman study of diameter-dependent resonance effects and metallic window for different types of single-walled carbon nanotubes

Abstract

In this work we have estimated the resonance energy corresponding to E11 optical transition in one-electron density of states of arc and HiPCO metallic single-walled carbon nanotubes on the base of experimental data obtained by two optical methods: the resonant Raman scattering excited by photons with different energies (0.92 - 2.73eV) and UV-VIS-NIR optical absorption. Both estimations have coincided well.
