Embryonal trachea epithelium implanted into the spleen of adult rats secreted biogenic amines, serotonin and histamine, upon the effect of cortisone administered for several days in high doses. The experiments proved that repressed potencies could be provoked successfully and that the ability to produce biogenic amines characterized the whole entoderm as well as the formations of entodermal origin.
