Potential oscillations in the course of galvanostatic oxidation of hydrogen at platinum electrode in the presence of electrosorbing cations

Abstract

An assumption has been made that in the presence of electrosorbing cations potential oscillations should be observed in the course of galvanostatic oxidation of hydrogen on platinum electrode. The reality of this assumption has been proved in the presence of Cd2+, Cu2+, Sn2+, Bi3+, Ag+ ions using different base electrolytes (H2SO4, HCl, HClO4). Some features connected with these oscillation phenomena were considered.
