Pilocarpine allergy imitating ocular pemphigus

Abstract

A case is reported which showed the characteristic course, clinical- and histological picture of ocular pemphigus. In the right eye symblepharon and corneal vascularization and in the left eye the slight cicatrization of the fornix took place. The patient got pilocarpine drops for years for his glaucoma simplex. After withdrawal of the pilocarpine the inflammatory signs and the progression came to an end.
