Abstract

A combined surgical intervention has been developed for the operative treatment of multiregional (pharyngolaryngeal) perilaryngeal tumors. While maintaining the laryngeal function, the novel type procedure combines a partial supraglottic resection of the larynx and the substitution of extensive meso- and hypopharyngeal wall deficiencies with a myocutaneous flap.
