Abstract
The use of current-balancing transformers (CBTS) is presented for parallel operation of thyratrons and thyratron-spark gap combinations. This allows automatic control of the currents and the switching delay times of these switches without imposing any limitations on the maximum speed of the circuit. A method for synchronization of independent excimer lasers using CBTS is considered.
