Palladium-catalysed aminocarbonylation of 17-iodo-5α-androst-16-ene with L-amino acid esters in ionic liquids

Abstract

Ionic liquids were effectively used as solvents in palladium catalysed aminocarbonylation of 17-iodo-5α-androst-16-ene (1) with L-amino acid esters. The Pd(OAc)2 + phosphine catalysts could be recirculated with small loss of activity.
