Oxazepines and thiazepines 32. Synthesis of tetracyclic benzothiazepines

Research output: Contribution to journalArticle

14 Citations (Scopus)

Tetracyclic benzothiazepines 24-41 have been synthesized either by the reaction of 2-aminothiophenol with α,β-enones 1-18 in hot toluene in the presence of trifluoroacetic acid or by the ring closure of compounds 19-23 in a mixture of boiling ethanol and acetic acid. Structure of the synthesized compounds 19-41 have been elucidated by IR and 1H-NMR spectroscopies.
