Abstract

Sixty minutes after dropping on the chorioallantoic membrane, 10 times more labelled FSH than TSH was found in the thyroid gland of the 15-day-old chicken embryo. In contrast, in the testicle 7 times more TSH was found than FSH. The hormone binding properties of the ovary were different from those of the testicle and it was similar to that of the adrenal gland which was used as a control tissue.
