Abstract

A study was performed on the topology of 2D polygon and generalized cell systems. The applicability limits of the Aboav's law for trivalent polygon systems were described. The possible values and the actual meaning of the parameters occurring in the Aboav's law were determined. It was found that the Aboav's law is a good approximation for the trivalent polygon systems.
