On the negligible interaction between K and CO on the CaF2 surface

Abstract

No measurable adsorption of CO on K-dosed CaF2 was detected for various K coverages at 100 K. This supports the idea that the activation of CO by the host substrate is required for the interaction of CO with K and for the formation of a stable K+-CO- surface species on transition metals.
