Abstract

We use the Oguchi pair approximation to study the phase diagram of the extended de Gennes pseudospin model which includes a nearest-neighbour Coulomb interaction term. We find no reentrant normal phase, but there is a fluctuation phenomenon which resembles reentrance: the phase short range order parameter has a maximum at finite temperature for subthreshold values of the Josephson coupling.
