Abstract

This paper presents the coupling of living carbocationic polymerization and living anionic polymerization which provides the most versatile synthetic routes for the controlled synthesis of a variety of novel polymer systems. Based on the experiment, MDPE-ended PIBs (I) provide opportunities for obtaining a variety of novel functional block copolymers by the living polymerization.
