Abstract

Optical and far red spectra of fast nova, Nova Cygni 2001/2, obtained at nine epochs was presented. The low and medium resolution spectra are used to determine the main outburst properties, the expansion velocity and the interstellar reddening. Visual photometric data was used to estimate the rates of decline and to check the photometric phases of the obtained spectra.
