Abstract

Experiments were carried out to study the self-emission of radiatively heated thin foils. As expected, materials of higher values of Z emitted more strongly than low-Z materials. However, low-Z materials emitted for a longer time. The experimental results were compared with MULTI simulations both with SNOP and FLY post-processing.
