New method of optical activation for racemic bases

Abstract

A new optical activation (resolution) method, based on the selective distribution of enantiomers between a chiral solid and achiral vapour phases is described. The chiral solid phase is formed from the optically active dicarboxylic acid (2R,3R-tartaric acid and its derivatives) and the racemic base.
