Negative length orbits in normal-superconductor billiard systems

Abstract

The path-length spectra of a normal-superconductor mesoscopic system with diffractive scattering were theoretically studied. It was demonstrated that the pulse-length spectra (PLS) of such systems differ fundamentally from that of normal systems, due to the appearance of peaks at negative lengths. This effect was highlighted via analysis of the simplest possible diffractive scatterer.
