Nanocrystallization studies of a melt-quenched Fe40Ni40P14B6 amorphous alloy

Abstract

The influence of linear heating and isothermal annealing on melt-quenched Fe40Ni40P14B6 amorphous alloy was studied. The decomposition of the amorphous state of the alloy and its comparison with nanocrystallization behavior of the binary eutectic Ni-P alloy was done. Differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) and X ray diffraction (XRD) were used to perform the measurements.
