Abstract

The authors diagnosed first myeloid leucosis in black head python (Aspidites melanocephalus). During dissection of the snake anaemia and enlargement of parenchymal organs was observed. In the organs (specially in the liver, kidneys) expressed tumour cell infiltration was seen. In the kidneys glomeruluses and basal membrane of tubules widened, which is frequently found in leucoses of higher vertebrates. Granulocytes of different developmental stages were present in large number in the blood smear. During immuno-histochemical examinations negative reactions of CD3 and CD79a methods prove neoplastic proliferation of myeloid line.
