Multivariable Control of Hemodialysis Machines Via Soft Computing Method

Abstract

Hemodialysis machines are inevitable for improving life quality of people with chronic kidney disease and improve hospital outcome for patients with acute kidney failure. It is crucial to control patient fluid balance control in this machine due to its decisive role. In this paper the existing control methods, where only the error of the given pump is considered, are compared with a soft computing method using both error signal and systemic error to calculate the control signal.
