### Abstract

The equation L_{1}X_{AB}+ln(L_{1}X_{AB})=-L_{2}X_{BC}-ln(L_{2}X_{BC}) is suggested to predict the minimum energy path for A+BC→AB+C type reactions. X=R-R^{o}, where R^{o} denotes the equilibrium bond length. Parameters L_{1} and L_{2} are assumed to depend on the properties of the bonds formed and cleaved, respectively.
