The computer vision module is a flexible programmable microprocessor system capable of processing and recognizing digital images. Vision systems are commonly believed to find extensive application in the nearest future. The paper presents the VM02 general-purpose vision module developed in the Computer and Automation Institute and reviews its possible industrial applications.
