Abstract

Low-molecular weight carboxylic acids were investigated in atmospheric aerosol collected during July and August 1998 at three different European sites that are representative of three different types of aerosol. The filters were extracted with MilliQ water and the extracts were analyzed by capillary electrophoresis. The results indicate that it might be expected that the effect of low-molecular weight carboxylic acids on atmospheric processes.
