Low-energy positron-argon elastic scattering at 30°

Abstract

The low-energy dependence of the differential cross section for elastic scattering in e+-Ar is found to be broadly consistent with previous absolute measurements. Among theories, the dependence follows more closely the results of a coupled-channel R-matrix approach, indicating the influence of Ps formation and, possibly, positron impact excitation on the elastic scattering channel.
