The lead uptake examined flocculants were commensurable with ion-exchangers having carboxilic functional groups. The Pb++/H + exchange isotherma seemed to be 'S' shape with selectivity turn: at high Pb++ covering of the exchanger the equilibrium is favourable, and at low Pb++ covering is unfavourable. The Pb ++/Na+ selectivity coefficient were greater then 1 in every case.
