Layer-resolved optical conductivity of Co | Pt multilayers

The complex optical conductivity tensor for Co/Pt multilayer systems was calculated by applying a contour integration technique within the framework of the spin-polarized relativistic screened Korringa-Kohn-Rostoker method. The computational accuracy was controlled by algorithms such as cumulative special-points method. The results showed that the optical conductivity of the Co/Pt multilayer systems was dominated by Pt cap and/or substrate layers contributions.
