Abstract

An investigation was made of the laser synthesis of V//2O//5 crystals with large surface areas (these crystals are used as a catalyst in chemical reactions). It was found that the effective surface area of these crystals could be increased by a factor of 10**3-10**4, which should make the crystals highly useful in chemical engineering.
