Abstract

Experiments were carried out for the kinetic investigation of the decarbonylation of the furfural using a catalyst containing 2. 5 wt% palladium. The rate and kinetic equations were stated on the basis of experimental data at 300 degree C at a furfural/hydrogen molar ratio of 1/1. According to the calculations, the rate determining partial process is the surface reaction.
